General Information:
The Monxton & Amport Village Hall was built in the mid-1960s – a modern building with facilities for events for up to 100 people. It is an excellent venue for local clubs and societies, events, family celebrations and children’s parties.  It has a small stage, which is ideal for small productions.

There is a kitchen, 90 chairs, 15 tables and plenty of crockery, cutlery & glasses. There are black-out blinds on all windows for film nights. The hall also has disabled access, with a custom-made ramp outside the hall, and disabled toilet facilities inside. There are also baby-changing facilities.

The hall is licensed for private and public events between of 10.00 and 23.00 hrs unless special permission has been granted by TVBC and Monxton & Amport Hall Management  Committee. There is an Entertainments and Stage Play Licence, but no alcohol license.

Parking:
There are 4 parking places directly outside the Hall with additional parking spaces along the road.  We have now improved the parking outside Monxton Manor and there is enough space for a further 5-6 cars. We politely request that hall users to not turn in residents’ driveways.

Availability:
Hall availability can be viewed here. There is a Bookings Diary displayed outside the hall on the notice board, but this is only updated at the beginning of each month so it may not be absolutely up to date. Please check with the Bookings Secretary if you are unsure.

Alcohol Licence:
The cost of an alcohol licence is approx £20.  Please note that if you are operating a “bring your own” or “alcohol supplied for free” private event, you do not need a licence. Test Valley Borough Council require applications for an Alcohol Licence to be sent to them 14 working days before the Event.

Hall Dimensions: 19m x 10m (incl. stage)

Hire Charges 2018:
These charges are revised and authorised by the Trustees.  Any potential hirer should be clear as to the rate being charged before entering into any booking agreement.  Minimum booking is 2 hours and maximum duration is provisionally 5 hours – unless previously agreed with the Hall Booking Secretary.  Setting up is not charged – up to 30 minutes before the booked time. However, if you need longer than this, please add this to your booking time. All hirers are allowed 30 minutes time after the booking to clear up. All events must be completed by midnight.

HIRE CHARGES RATES PER HOUR
Hall & Kitchen £8
Parties */ Quiz nights £12
Elections (all facilities) £200

Facilities included in the charge:
All of the above rates include use of the Kitchen, all crockery, tables and chairs as required and the toilet facilities.  Heating and lighting are also provided.

* Parties will be charged a £50 deposit, repayable after the hall has been inspected, within 7 days of the hire date.

It is no longer possible to hire any of the village hall accessories (tables, chairs, crockery, marquees etc) for private events, but these are still available for village events, such as the village fete etc.
